"RECYCLING "

The recycling and reuse laboratory

Educational objectives of the laboratory

The general objective of the project is to guide and educate the pupil / citizen to acquire correct habits and behaviors for the promotion of separate collection of waste in the home and the reuse, recovery and recycling of the same.

To achieve this goal, the project envisages the active involvement of young people in the separate collection of materials necessary to make the activity concrete.

Furthermore, in the form of a game, they will be made responsible and motivated to make environmental conservation (energy and water saving, respect for natural environments, separate collection) and recovery a practice.

Finally, the project activities include the creation of artistic artefacts, as every educational intervention must not remain a sterile attempt to modify behavior, but must be engaging, realistic, participatory and rewarding.

We will recycle the objects and transform them into new and artistic objects. The boys  they will have fun and learn to distinguish the materials that make up the objects used every day and to divide them in a way that responds to the criteria of separate waste collection and with creativity they will realize their ideas.

Activities

The project includes:

- A first informative part on the topic of waste;

- A manual workshop in which pupils will be encouraged to reuse and recycle various materials.  The methodology for discovery, research, direct observation, classification, comparison, generalization, are the methods of knowledge of waste materials and recycling necessary for the realization of the project.

- The cooperative work, in small groups, involving, spontaneous and creative will lead to a reasoned and aware doing.

- The creation of small works of art of recycling: ornaments, bags, newspaper racks, jewelry boxes, trays, fruit bowls, flower boxes, pencil holders, necklaces, bracelets etc.

During the activities, photos will be taken to remember the experience and finally there will be an exhibition of the manufactured products.
