Together for Greater Support of Families of Convicts

An Erasmus+ Project for Change

The project “Together for Greater Support of Families of Convicts”, funded under Erasmus+ KA210 (Small-scale Partnerships), aims to provide concrete support to families of prisoners. Often, relatives of prisoners face social stigma, isolation and economic difficulties, making the creation of effective support networks essential.

Leading the initiative are two partner organizations: Gramigna APS (Italy) and Volonté (Czech Republic) (www.en.volonte.cz). Together, they work to exchange good practices, develop innovative tools and raise public awareness on the topic.

The project included events in Italy and the Czech Republic, involving social workers, experts and families to share experiences and support strategies. The planned activities include training workshops, meetings with associations and institutions, as well as the creation of educational resources to improve psychological and social support to the families involved.

Lump sum financing ensures simplified management of funds, allowing to focus on concrete results. Expected impacts include strengthening the capacity of social workers, creating stronger support networks and raising awareness of the rights of families of prisoners.

Through this international collaboration, “Together for Greater Support of Families of Convicts” represents a step forward to reduce marginalization and promote social reintegration, not only of prisoners, but also of their families.
